Time is flying by extremely fast! Just next Tuesday, ICLP has our final exams. It’s going to be a lot of studying this week; I think the exams are around two hours in total, so hopefully it won’t be too painful (plus, it means less time spent in class that day!). I’m not sure why finals are so early, given we will still have over two weeks remaining for the program, but oh well! We shall see.
Anyways, nothing super big has happened in the past week. On Thursday, everybody in 4th level or higher had to give their big midterm presentations; being in level 3, this meant I got the day off, which I spent cleaning my room and writing emails and lots of other incredibly boring things. That night, however, we went to 鼎泰豐 (Dintaifeng), which was amazing! I’d never been before, even though they’re well known in America as well. The food was incredibly, and I had a really nice time!
Otherwise, life has been relatively calm! Over the weekend, I met up with a Williams alum who now lives in Taipei, and he and his family were very nice! He answered a bunch of questions about potentially living here as well. Afterwards, I finally (finally!) made it to the Nangang skatepark and rode my freeskates (漂移板), which was pretty fun, but also it’s still extremely hot here so I got extremely tired out.
No pictures this week were taken, unfortunately, since I didn’t really explore to any new or exciting places. Hopefully I’ll find time this weekend, despite all of the studying for finals!
