ICLP: Week 4

Almost at the halfway mark! We got through our first typhoon in Taipei this week. It was basically just a big rainstorm by the time it got to us. Over the weekend Jenna and I went to Kiki (a restaurant specializing in Sichuan food) and ordered fried egg tofu and this braised? fried? fish in bean and spicy chili sauce. Honestly the fish was the best thing I’ve eaten while in Taipei, and I’ve been craving it since I ate it. We went to get massages afterwards, and it was super relaxing! The session started with a foot bath and massage, followed by an hour of pressure point based massage. They also gave us tea before and after our sessions and cookies at the end of our session. We enrolled in our mission language trip, which was pretty intense considering the fact that our trip hit capacity within 3 seconds after enrollment started. We ended up getting spots in the most popular pineapple cake baking trip, so I’m excited for that next weekend!
