ICLP week 3

Since I have no experience/interest in cooking, I seldom cook at home. Finding a place to eat outside that is both affordable and delicious has not been easy, so I ended up not caring about nutrition as I should be. Starting from this coming week, I hope I can pay more attention to which kinds of nutrition that I’m taking and cook at least a simple breakfast at home. Also, I bought the National Taiwan University swimming pool membership. Since the swimming pool is 5 minutes walk away from the place where I live, I’m planning to go swimming every day after class. I tried to find some affordable ballet academy in Taipei, but dance academies here, in general, are much more expensive than in the U.S. or in Korea, so I gave up taking ballet lessons here. The ICLP program allows its student to have the same access to the NTU libraries as regular NTU students, and there are not only Chinese books but also enough English books for me to read.

I attended a language exchange program on Thursday and had a nice time talking to NTU students both in English and Chinese. The students that I met major in political science. They told me what is happening around the world has always been interesting to them, but since NTU’s international relation department puts emphasis on the theory rather than the actual cases, they do not enjoy learning political science anymore. That was really sad.
