ICLP: Week 3

This week I was able to retrieve my wallet! Someone had picked it up and reported it to the police, who saw my NTU student ID and contacted ICLP. Everything was exactly as I had left it, and I am incredibly relieved to have all my IDs and insurance cards back (granted I already purchased another NTU student card…). Hannah, Jenna, and I made reservations at a popular sushi buffet (one of the ShinYeh branches) for Saturday lunch and spent close to 3 hours there. I was stuffed until the next day! A bit of a warning though: it seems as though a lot of buffets and higher end restaurants (or many restaurants that are frequented by international customers?) in Taiwan have a service fee. We went expecting to pay a little over 500 NTD per person based on the prices listed on their website, but ended up having to pay nearly double (over 900 NTD) due to these service fees. In terms of classes, I think I am more or less adjusted to the work load and have adopted a method for studying that suits ICLPs demands. I am still often exhausted and lacking sleep, but since I have been able to go to the gym before classes (thanks to sorting out the student ID mess) I have been a bit more energetic during the day.
