This week was language mission week, and Jenna and I went to make our own pineapple cakes at Kuo Yuan Ye. It was really fun! I had planned to bring mine home to my family after the end of ICLP to share, and I worked really hard to imprint 父,母,and hearts on my cakes. However, it turned out that they have to be eaten within the week since they were being made fresh without any of the usual preservatives! So I wasn’t able to take them home. I sent pictures home instead. I’m thinking about going back a few days before my flight so that I can bring a fresh batch with me. I looked up the price, and it’s only about 11 USD, which I think it okay considering the whole experience. This week, we will start writing our final presentation speeches, and after talking it over with my one-on-one teacher, I’ve decided to focus my presentation on the differences in relationships between Korea and Japan and Taiwan and Japan.
