One thing that I like the most about the ICLP program is that there is a one hour long 1:1 class every day. Since I’m usually really quiet and tend not to talk that much in class unless teachers specifically call on me, 1:1 class benefits me a lot. I also like the fact that I can take classes with the classmates from all over the world. There are students from Japan, the U.S., Singapore, etc, and even though most of them are students around my age, there are some who are in their middle age. Teachers often ask us questions regarding our own culture and opinions, so it is more fun to hear different stories of my classmates from different backgrounds. Also, I have often been eating at the restaurant called Sushi Express these days. It is a conveyor belt sushi house where each plate only costs 30 Taiwanese dollars–about 1.1 USD. The foods taste good given the cheap price, and it is convenient to eat there since I can eat just the right amount for me. I started to use more Chinese when ordering food, buying things, etc, and I think I started to understand more of what people say.
