Week 6. It is absolutely insane to me that I only have two more weeks left. The days are long and the weeks are short — I suppose that is often how these things go. This week was a bit of a roller-coaster: there was a typhoon. So, virtual school for two days. It was a bit of a challenge, but I am, quite frankly, in awe of my teachers for making it work. The typhoon itself was scary, at first, but ultimately totally fine. Lots of dorm room ramen. In some ways it was nice to slow down for a second. Things go fast here. This weekend was wonderful, too. On Friday afternoon, after our tests, I went and explored some vintage stores with my friends Chelsea and Yunae. We also ate dinner at an Italian food restaurant because we were missing home. On Saturday, I went on the HTA outing. We went to Shifen and Jiufen. It was cloudy, but both were beautiful. Ate lots and lots of yummy food at Jiufen — I’ve decided I love quail eggs. On Sunday, I spent the morning writing my essay, then I went to a history museum with my friend Charlotte and accompanied her to the police station to retrieve a camera she had left in a taxi. There were only a couple communication issues with the police offers — mostly we made it work! Camera has been retrieved! Another good week.
