ICLP week 6

On the weekend, I met my language exchange partner. In the beginning of the week 1, ICLP asked students whether they want to be partnered with NTU students. I wanted to have a Taiwanese friend so said yes immediately. In the beginning of week 2, I was told of the name and email address of the language exchange partner. Since then, I have texted her via email for several times and finally scheduled to meet in person, firstly in week 3 and secondly in this week. In week 3, we visited Shillin night market and tried many Taiwanese snacks like fried chicken breast and fried milk. In this week, we met in a cafe that sells brunch menu. In this sitting setting, we were able to have more conversation. Since I found that my language partner is also a fan of k-pop and k-drama, we had a lot to talk. Although I was talking to her in Chinese and was stuttering a lot, I was able to share my interests. In the meantime, I found it surprising that I was actually using the phrases and vocabulary that I learned. This made me feel more motivated for my Chinese learning process.
