This is the final week of PiBO. This week’s topics were related to the relationship between Taiwan and China. I learned that most Taiwanese identify themselves as Taiwanese instead of Chinese. I was tempted to ask the teachers their opinion on whether or not they think that Taiwan is an independent country, since some teachers were from Taiwan and some were from China. In the end, I was too shy. Anyways, I am glad I chose this program, and I feel satisfied with my progress in learning Chinese.
