This week we studied topics relating to security (at airports and places like Tiananmen Square). We also chose a poem, either ancient or modern. We were then given a week to prepare, and on Friday we recited our poems and presented their meaning. I chose 乡愁, or Nostalgia. The author wrote about his longing for his birthplace, Mainland China, while exiled in Taiwan. It is a very beautiful poem and I recommend reading it if you have not.
