Rob Livingstone Head Strength and Conditioning Coach
Rob Livingstone has been a part of the coaching staff at Williams College as the Director of Strength and Conditioning for 3 years. Rob has 14 years of strength and conditioning experience, along with 4 years of sports management experience. Over his coaching career, Rob has trained numerous Olympic and professional athletes. He has also trained five, 1st round MLB draft picks and two, 1st round NBA draft picks. Coach Livingstone has a diverse training background. In addition to his work with collegiate and professional athletes, he has trained elementary, middle and high school student-athletes as well as adults. Coach Livingstone has been a strength and conditioning coach for Jacksonville State University, Philadelphia Phillies Organization, Jacksonville University, University of Georgia and Norcross High School. He has also managed a Velocity Sports Performance Training facility outside of Atlanta. Coach Livingstone graduated from Jacksonville State University with an Undergraduate degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Nutrition, and a Master’s degree in Physical Education. He also played collegiate baseball at Southern Union State Community College and Jacksonville State University. Rob is currently certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association and USA Weightlifting.
Marshall Creighton Asst. FB and S&C Coach
A 2002 graduate of Williams College, Marshall returns for his 7th season back in the Purple Valley after stints at both Northeastern University and Tufts University. Creighton began his coaching career at Northeastern immediately following graduation. During the 2002 Atlantic-10 Championship season Marshall worked as an Offensive Assistant, assisting in all phases of weekly preparation and with the Quarterbacks. The following season Marshall joined the staff at Tufts University where he coached on both sides of the ball, working with the Wide Receivers and Linebackers. Marshall also received a MA in Educational Studies from Tufts University. In the last six years, Marshall has coached six different 1st Team All-NESCAC WRs and two 2nd Team All-NESCAC WRs. In addition to coaching the WRs, Marshall is the Special Teams Coordinator and Recruiting Coordinator for the Ephs. This year Marshall has added the title of Assistant Head Coach to his list of duties. As a player, Marshall was a member of three NESCAC championship teams and two undefeated teams. He shared time as the starting QB in 2000 and started at CB in 2001 and was awarded the Dr. Edward Caughlin Award for overcoming adversity after his senior campaign.
Scott Honecker Head Wrestling and Asst. S&C Coach
After a year serving as interim head coach of wrestling, Scott Honecker has been elevated to head coach of wrestling at Williams College.
Honecker who served as an assistant at Williams in 2011-12, served interim head coach this past season and led the Ephs to a 12-11 record and a 5th-place ranking in New England. He coached three Eph wrestler to the Div. III national championship meet, where two were named All-America, the Ephs placed 24th and Honecker was named NCAA Div. III Rookie Coach of the Year. After wrestling at Ithaca College, Honecker accepted an assistant coaching position at J.H. Rose High School in 2005 while he completed his degree at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. In 2006, Honecker was elevated to Head Wrestling Coach where his program experienced unprecedented success. Throughout the course of his in career in Greenville, Honecker’s teams achieved over 100 dual meet victories in 5 seasons. In 2007, Honecker founded the Greenville Wrestling Club, which grew to become one of the largest clubs in the Southeast and competed on a national level. Five consecutive years (2007-11), the Greenville Wrestling Club won the North Carolina state championship. In 2010, Honecker was honored as the USA Wrestling Southeast Junior Developmental Coach of the Year. The Southeast Region of USA Wrestling covers nine states. Honecker earned his Bachelor of Science degree from East Carolina University in 2010 in elementary education.
Christi Kelsey Head Volleyball and Asst. S&C Coach
In 2009, Christi Kelsey was hired to take over the reigns of the Eph Volleyball Program. In her inaugural season, Kelsey helped guide the Ephs to the 2009 NESCAC Championship and a Sweet 16 appearance in the NCAA tournament. Coach Kelsey now is heading into her fourth season as head volleyball coach. In the 2010 and 2011 seasons, the Eph squads continued to put up strong performances in New England, while battling it out against fellow opponents in the talented, deep, and competitive NESCAC conference. Prior to being hired as head coach at Williams, Kelsey served as the first assistant for Harvard University. While with the Crimson, Kelsey provided on-court coaching, team development, and served as Harvard’s recruiting coordinator. A 2000 graduate of Purdue University, Kelsey majored in business and minored in information systems. She was a four-year participant for the Boilermakers in volleyball and earned First Team All-Academic Big Ten honors twice, while being named to the Dean’s List seven straight semesters. In 1998 Kelsey was named a Mortar Board Co-Top Scholar Athlete at Purdue and in 1998-99 she earned the Helen B. Schleman Academic Achievement Award.
