It has its origins in the millennia-old Confucian philosophy and draws inspiration from the knowledge fields of cognitive studies, linguistic anthropology, cultural psychology, and performance studies. Through meticulously executed curricular design as well as “performances” that put learners in authentic linguistic and cultural contexts, this pedagogical approach successfully integrates language instruction and culture instruction. It aims to enable language learners to not only gain advanced linguistic skills but also develop intercultural communicative competence, successfully navigating the target culture and effectively communicating with native speakers in culturally appropriate ways.

This reference guide mainly contains two parts: PCA Bibliography and PCA videos.
