Process

Eligibility Form: Submit an eligibility form. This form gives us basic information about you and verifies your eligibility to become an Advising Fellow. Have questions about eligibility? See the “Let’s talk about eligibility” section above.

Application: After you’ve received your Invitation to Apply, or you see the application available in your SMApply portal, complete the full Advising Fellow application. The application is mostly short-answer questions. Applications are reviewed by leadership on a rolling basis.

Interview: Candidates who are selected to proceed in our process will be invited to interview with a member of the AFLT. We’ll talk with you about your application and run through some advising scenarios.

Committee Evaluation: All candidates who successfully complete an interview will have their entire application reviewed by the HAF and AFLT, with input from Matriculate staff, for a position in the Fellowship.

Decision: Candidates will be notified of the committee decision and accepted Advising Fellows will be invited to complete acceptance paperwork.
