We are committed to promoting interdisciplinary work and encouraging innovation and creativity through experimentation, prototyping, and hands-on learning. We help prepare Williams students to be global citizens by developing real-world skills in traditional and emerging technologies, as well as innovative thinking, interpersonal engagement, communication, and project management\u2014competencies considered absolute requirements for effective leadership. This project used locally sourced sugar maple logs from an already fallen tree in the Hopkins Memorial Forest. Hopkins student caretaker, Javi Jenkins-Sorensen \u201825, used a chainsaw to cut the tree into logs.
