{"id":886,"date":"2017-05-25T14:36:41","date_gmt":"2017-05-25T19:36:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sites.williams.edu\/lj1\/?p=886"},"modified":"2017-10-30T10:48:36","modified_gmt":"2017-10-30T15:48:36","slug":"jamf-dep-and-vpp-certificate-renewal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.williams.edu\/lj1\/software\/jamf-dep-and-vpp-certificate-renewal\/","title":{"rendered":"JAMF &#8211; DEP and VPP Certificate Renewal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For the JAMF server we have yearly renewing certificates that connect our JAMF server to Apple&#8217;s servers for our hardware (DEP) and software (VPP) purchases. <\/p>\n<p>Here is how I did this process in May 2017:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1) Log into our JAMF server  (  <a href=\"https:\/\/casper.williams.edu:8443\">https:\/\/casper.williams.edu:8443<\/a>  )  with a full admin account<\/li>\n<li>2) Navigate to <strong>Management Settings<\/strong> &#8211; <strong>Global Settings<\/strong> &#8211; <strong>Device Enrollment Program<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>3) Click on <strong>Public Key<\/strong> to download our JSS key to the local computer<\/li>\n<p>4\t<\/p>\n<li>) Sign into our Apple School Manager account at <a href=\"https:\/\/school.apple.com\/\">https:\/\/school.apple.com\/<\/a> with our AppleID of: wcappledeploy@williams.edu<\/li>\n<li>5) Click on <strong>MDM<\/strong> &#8211; <strong>Upload Key<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>6) Once uploaded you should be able to click on <strong>Get Token<\/strong> to download the new token<\/li>\n<li>7) Go back to <strong>our JAMF Server<\/strong> &#8211; <strong>Management Settings<\/strong> &#8211; <strong>Global Settings<\/strong> &#8211; <strong>Device Enrollment Program<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>8) Click on <strong>Williams JSS<\/strong> and then <strong>Edit<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>9) Then <strong>Upload Server Token<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Remain logged into our JAMF server to update the VPP Certificate:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1) Log into the wcappledeploy@williams.edu AppleId at the website: <a href=\"https:\/\/volume.itunes.apple.com\/\">https:\/\/volume.itunes.apple.com\/<\/a><\/li>\n<li>2) In the upper right corner click on <strong>wcappledeploy@williams.edu<\/strong> for a drop down menu, select <strong>Account Summary<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>3) In the MDM section, click on <strong>Download Token<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>4) While still logged into <strong>our JAMF Server<\/strong> navigate to <strong>Management <\/li>\n<p>Settings<\/strong> &#8211; <strong>Global Settings<\/strong> &#8211; <strong>VPP Accounts<\/strong><\/p>\n<li>5) Click on <strong>Williams VPP<\/strong> then <strong>Edit<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>\n6) Finally click on &#8220;<strong>Renew Service Token<\/strong>&#8221; to upload the token you just downloaded from Apple<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Phew.
