{"id":736,"date":"2016-03-22T13:43:33","date_gmt":"2016-03-22T18:43:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sites.williams.edu\/lj1\/?p=736"},"modified":"2016-03-22T13:43:33","modified_gmt":"2016-03-22T18:43:33","slug":"windows-10-all-apps-control","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.williams.edu\/lj1\/labs\/windows-10-all-apps-control\/","title":{"rendered":"Windows 10 &#8211; All Apps control"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It appears that we can turn off the default &#8220;All Apps&#8221; view in the new windows 10 start menu with the policy at:<br \/>\nUser Config &#8211; Policies &#8211; Administrative Template &#8211; Start Menu and Task bar &#8211;<br \/>\nRemove All Programs list from the Start menu<\/p>\n<p>It appears that you can &#8220;remove&#8221; the default list and keep only the specific items you pin there.<\/p>\n<p>Specifically the helpful group policy wording is:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;This policy setting allows you to remove the All Programs list from the Start menu.<\/p>\n<p>If you enable this policy setting, the &#8220;All Programs&#8221; item is removed from the simple Start menu.
