{"id":443,"date":"2012-07-31T12:59:13","date_gmt":"2012-07-31T17:59:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sites.williams.edu\/lj1\/?p=443"},"modified":"2012-07-31T13:05:07","modified_gmt":"2012-07-31T18:05:07","slug":"bootcamp-imaging-windows-with-winclone","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.williams.edu\/lj1\/labs\/bootcamp-imaging-windows-with-winclone\/","title":{"rendered":"BootCamp  &#8211; Imaging windows with winclone"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Using a lab windows image on a dual boot mac &#8212;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare a base windows image in Dell hardware and sysprep<\/li>\n<li>Take an image with KACE\/Ghost but don&#8217;t allow drive to boot after <\/li>\n<ul>\n<li>With ghost you need to uncheck &#8220;Reboot&#8221; in the Misc Options before starting to take image\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<li>Physically remove hard drive from dell hardware and put it in a Mac Pro Tower but don&#8217;t let it boot yet\n<\/li>\n<li>Use an external disk that has winclone loded on it to boot the mac\n<\/li>\n<li>Take a winclone image <\/li>\n<ul>\n<li>Before taking winclone image, set perferences to use the &#8220;special&#8221; format that is not mountable but is smaller and restores faster.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This image should then be restorable to any bootcamp windows partition using the external mac boot disk and winclone as above.
