So many compilations of Lucian&#8217;s works simply omit this collection! The most contemporary English translation I&#8217;ve been able to find is from 20 years ago, and the translation (like its predecessors) is so frustratingly and stupidly euphemistic, in service of all sorts of problematic norms.<\/p>\n<p>My aim is to get an English translation out into the world which at least avoid some of the more egregious failures of past translations.
