His work in the lab includes collaborating on the Project for Advancing Women&#8217;s Health and his own thesis project, the Adversity and Psychopathology in Asylees Study. Kaiz is particularly interested in studying early adversity, lifetime trauma, and biological markers of stress in the context of psychopathology. A fun fact about Kaiz is that he is both a twin and a gemini, an identity which he proudly refers to as &#8220;twin^2.&#8221;<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.williams.edu\/cbs2\/files\/2023\/03\/Screenshot-2023-03-08-at-10.23.58-AM.png\" alt=\"Screenshot 2023-03-08 at 10.23.58 AM\" height=\"1058\" width=\"942\" title=\"Screenshot 2023-03-08 at 10.23.58 AM\">\n<h4>\n\t\tClass of 2023\n\t<\/h4>\n<h3>\n\t\tApril Su\n\t<\/h3>\n\t<p>April Su (she\/her) is a Psychology, East Asian Language and Culture major, and Neuroscience concentrator. She has been working on the Project for Advancing Women&#8217;s Health since January 2021. She is interested in how early adversity alters specific affective-cognitive processes and their underlying neural networks to confer risk for the development of internalizing psychopathology. She is particularly interested in how early life experiences affect the development of psychopathology, and in early intervention programs that research in this area can inform.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.williams.edu\/cbs2\/files\/2023\/03\/Screenshot-2023-03-07-at-12.09.42-PM.png\" alt=\"Screenshot 2023-03-07 at 12.09.42 PM\" height=\"546\" width=\"544\" title=\"Screenshot 2023-03-07 at 12.09.42 PM\">\n<h4>\n\t\tClass of 2023.5\n\t<\/h4>\n<h3>\n\t\tMargaux Kanamori\n\t<\/h3>\n\t<p>Margaux Kanamori (she\/her) is an English and Psychology double major and has been working in the lab since Spring 2021. Her research experiences have focused on women&#8217;s mental health, including maternal mental health, substance use among young women, and depression and life stress. Her research experience has included the Project for Advancing Women&#8217;s Health, the etiology and treatment of Borderline Personality Disorder, and emotion regulation and mindfulness in children. She has worked on the Project for Advancing Women&#8217;s Health and examining mental illness amongst East African youth. Her research interests include cultural psychology, and immigrant mental health. Zoe is interested in how different measurements of cortisol can be used to understand psychopathology.
