Specifically, Immediate focused on shows with minimal funding and short rehearsal processes (hence the name), student written shows and works-in-progress, and unorthodox events like the annual 24-hour Play Festival. Eventually, as the artistic interests of the two groups realigned and the number of students participating in both increased, it made more sense for Immediate to be incorporated as a branch of Cap & Bells than to exist as a separate entity. As of 2015, Immediate Theatre is nominally defunct, but its mission is now part of Cap & Bells’ own- essentially, that any student who wants to make interesting theatre can and should receive support from Cap & Bells. The 24-hour Play Festival continues to this day.

Power Trip
By Omar Gouda ’16
Directed by Nico MacDougall ’17
An Original Beatboxing Show!
Featuring Nick Friedman ’18
The Cherry Orchard
By Anton Chekhov
Directed by Lily Riopelle ’14
How (Not) To Be Alone
By Sarah Sanders ’14 and Rebecca Fallon ’14
Directed by Matthew Conway ’15
The Fantasticks
Music and lyrics by Harvey Schmidt and Tom Jones
Directed by Lily Riopelle ’14
Music directed by Eric Kang ’09
Marma Turns 70 by Steve Marino ’14
Directed by Julia Juster ’14
Immediate Theatre’s 6th Annual 24-Hour Play Festival
Overseen by Sarah Sanders ’14
Hey Man Drive by Craig Corsi ’14
Directed by Craig Corsi ’14
How To Be A Terrorist
Directed by Jimmy Grzelak ’13
Jimmy Presents Jimmy Presents: A Christmas Cabaret
Directed by Jimmy Grzelak ’13
The Clyde Show
Directed by Jimmy Grzelak ’13 and Sara Harris ’12
Brief Interviews with Hideous Men
By David Foster Wallace
Adapted and directed Sophie Montgomery ’13
Betty White: The Musical!
Directed by Margy Love ’13

Seasons Archive Fall ’25 Master and Margarita By Mikhail Bulgakov, Adapted by Gideon Lester and János Szász Directed by Jane Su ’26 and Diliara Sadykova ’26 Choreographed by Maya Madison ’27 Music Directed by Sienna Kelley ’27 Stage Managed by Farris Farouki ’27 Assistant Stage Managed by Haley Lin ’29 and Fiona Cutchins ’29 October…

["post-28","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry
["GET
