For our first day, Blue and I went to Universal Studios Japan in Osaka. We had planned this trip before our departure, and were super pumped to go!
We started off our day at 7 AM, and departed for the train station. Look at this crazy train we took there.
Blue was most looking forward to Super Mario World, and I was most excited for the Harry Potter World. Both were amazing! I was impressed by the level of detail put into the attractions, especially the lines for all of the rides, which were filled with lots of clever little easter eggs.
For lunch, we had a Jurassic Park-themed meal of Loco Moco and mango pudding.
We stayed until the park closed, but not before we got to have dinner at the Tokyo Jujutsu High Dining Hall from the anime Jujutsu Kaisen. We both had the meal “designed” by the character Gojo, and got to take a picture with “him.” How cool!
On our second day, we spent most of our time getting our hair dyed. へんしん!We had a great conversation in Japanese with our hairdressers, who were kind enough to simplify their conversations a lot. Thank you to Funnyguchi-san and Hiro-san! We love our hair!
Overall, Blue and I thought our last two days in Japan were a great balance to the tradition we were immersed in throughout the rest of the trip!
