So long Williamstown! A little more 7 hours until we leave on the shuttle to the airport. Fun fact! Did you know that commercial aircrafts are designed to be able to fly safely with only one engine?
The past week or so has been full of research for Noh plays and performers, as well as listening to everyone’s presentations on their findings. We’ve gone back to the basics in reading the core material again from the syllabus as well, and I’m looking forward to experiencing Noh in the lectures, workshops, and performances upon our arrival in Kyoto. I’m very interested in seeing how the Takabayashi family exists and performs Noh from a contemporary sphere, and how the family has managed to carry tradition throughout the years.
