The flight to Japan is coming up soon, so I need to pack. I’ve traveled abroad many times, but never to Japan. What I’ve learned is I should pack light, as I’d probably want to buy some souvenirs.
Kagaya-sensei said we’re allowed a backpack, a carry-on small suitcase, and a large checked suitcase. Here’s a list of what I’m packing:
Backpack:
-laptop and accessories that go with it
-cell phone charger
-travel documents
-copies of e-ticket, address of hostel, and travel documents
-one of the readings
-snacks if I can find any
Small suitcase:
-1x jacket
-1x hoodie
-1x dress shirt (for presentation)
-2x OCBD (Oxford Cloth Button Down)
-3x wool sweaters
-3x cotton sweaters (I think this may be too much. I have space, so why not?)
-3x sets of clothes I sleep in
-10x underwear and socks (didn’t actually count, just threw a bunch into the suitcase)
-5x undershirts
-1x jeans
-2x chinos
-rest of the readings
-notebook
-writing instruments
-daily routine products
large suitcase:
-1x boots
-1x belt
I am not sure if I will bring a small suitcase or not. I am considering transferring everything in my small suitcase to the large suitcase. Jessy LeClair recommended a small backpack as well, but i do not own one. I will just look out of place.
