Williams Business Association

Who ARE WE?

Our unique position allows us to be at the intersection of all the groups and allows us to consolidate and distribute information to a wide array of students. We are a conduit through which alumni can more directly interact with and impact students. We exist to bridge the socioeconomic gap between first generation as well as other minority students, and those without access to information, to serve those not being served through existing avenues, to tackle systemic issues, and to destigmatize business and educate the campus on what it is, and what is isn’t. We are a student led initiative with the needs of the students in mind. We are a point of contact for alumni. We want to get students to employers, and employers to students. We increase efficiency in the Williams career system by consolidating information and facilitating resource sharing among the students. We have the leadership ability to incentivize organizations and to send representatives from diverse career fields. We have an open, inclusive, and holistic approach, and we will show the student body that a major is not equal to a career.

About WBA

The Williams Business Association (WBA) is a collaborative association of independent professional groups on campus that aim to help expose the Williams community to the myriad of professional opportunities in the world, and to help them prepare for a meaningful life and career after Williams. While helping other professional groups meet their objectives,

WBA also exists to fulfill its three guiding objectives:

  • to expose the student body to the plethora of professional career paths possible after graduation;

  • to educate our members on the leadership, problem solving, and practical business skills necessary to thrive in a professional environment;

  • to foster an environment where students are able to network and build relationships with peers, alumni, and individuals outside of the Williams Community.

We are bringing alumni back to share their stories,

connecting students to alumni,

connecting students to resources on campus,

and interacting with the local community.
