This article directly connects and references the movie we just watched, Children of Men. It reveals the persistence of immigration issues and less than admirable race relations that are still occurring today, two of which are prevalent themes within the movie. I just found this an interesting read and recommend you guys to read it also as it sheds light on topics that are often swept under the rug or are under addressed in the U.S. because they are too controversial. Especially with the upcoming election, I feel it is important to brush up on the state of these matters and how they are progressing.
